My folks were friends with David Ronald Thompson’s father and step mother in the 1970’s in the Falcon/Dawesville area. He is 3 years younger than me. My folks say he was an “odd” kid. I later met up with him by chance in a group of people I was hanging around with in the early 90’s only a couple of years after he murdered Hilda Fry. He actually cracked onto me one night and I said I wasn’t interested. It was years after the murder that he was raping women in Falcon. He would hide in the bushes along the bike path and grab woman walking or riding past. It terrifies me to think how close I came to maybe being one of his victims. He remembered me from when we were kids and knew all about my family etc and it was only after hanging out for a while that he told me his surname and I realized who he was. I don’t think they should ever let him out! YUK!! I was very shocked when he was finally caught and named.
